The convergence of melancholy, uncertainty, epic poetry and acting.
Of all of the events, styles, memes and other ephemera to come out of the SARS CoV-2/COVID-19 pandemic, my friend Jane Elias's poetry project is by far the most epic and penetrating. For 328 straight days, Jane turned the thoughts and emotions about life during the pandemic from a different actor and wrote a sonnet - each of which connected with the previous day's sonnet - which was then performed and recorded by the actor for inclusion in this incredible series. It is a work of pure creative genius that would make Ezra Pound proud.
