New History Series
I'm currently conducting research for the first book in a series of biographical histories that will follow developments in modern photography that led to its becoming the common ancestor between two American icons during the first half of the twentieth century. This unique history will trace photography's beginnings in Europe and America and its role in documenting the early spread of America's dominion, its calamitous turn to civil war, and its integration into new technologies that continued America's march toward leading the world into the twentieth century.

Published Articles
This year, 2025, marks the centenary of the moment the world woke up to the fact that galaxies exist outside the Milky Way. In 1933, Edwin Hubble discovered a star in the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) whose pulsing light made it an excellent tool for measuring cosmic distances. Using the star, he measured the distance to M31 and found that it lay far outside the bounds of our home galaxy. Hubble "leaked" the discovery in 1924 and brought it to the attention of the science world and the public in 1925. As a leading Big Bang historian I've written extensively on this important anniversary in America and the UK. My latest article appears in the October issue of Astronomy.

Children's Fiction
Since getting my nonfiction career off the ground I've returned to children's fiction, where I began my journey in earnest, and where I continue to love to write. Making kids laugh, entertaining them and piquing their interest and curiosity has always given me great joy and I'm very happy to be back working in this space again. I have a picture book in the illustration phase and a novel for middle schoolers thru high school aged readers in the works as well.
