The Paper Fig Foundation
The work I've been on behalf of this organization has been amongst the most transformational experiences of my life. Working in various African communities, but primarily in remote areas of Uganda, offering skills training in fashion and the arts to young women (and boys) in an effort to help them establish a financial foothold and raise local economies is both challenging and rewarding. In addition to my work creating content for the organization I am advisor to the board and a serial fundraiser. Check out the PFF here and drop us a dime if you're able!

The Paper Fig 560
The more we educate and empower women, the faster we evolve as a species and the better and more inclusive our global community becomes. Women in places like Uganda are ready, willing and able to act in support of their families, many of whom struggle to afford basic schooling for them. That is the work the Paper Fig Foundation (PFF) is in: helping thousands of young women acquire skills that enable them to make a living and provide for themselves and their families.

I can't think of a better purpose to involve myself in, so this fall I will embark on a 560-mile bike ride from lower Manhattan to Niagara Falls, New York to raise money for the PFF. The ride will take me through many scenic areas of New York over abandoned railway lines that have been repurposed into a long bike path. Bike enthusiasts are welcome to join and of course donations are appreciated!

After a two year hiatus, I'm hoping to renew my annual ride in 2026. Stay tuned!
